4 Ways to Make Extra Income

Need an extra boost to your paycheck, but don’t want to get a second job? Me neither. Luckily, in this day and age there are ways to make extra money that don’t require you to spend hours slaving away for another boss; neither do you have to take out payday loans or borrow against your own accounts or whatever.

Here are four ways to make extra income that you can do part-time or in your spare time. Note that how much money you make will be directly related to how much time you spend. This is one of the strengths of this method – you can do as much or as little as you need to meet your financial objectives.

Note that these four methods don’t necessarily require any special skills. What they do require, however, is a computer and Internet connection, as the best ways to make extra income are online, in my opinion. The traditional methods of making money (odd jobs, pawning your items, etc.) still work, but I think you’ll get more money for your time if you use the power of the Web.

Four Ways to Make Extra Income Online

  1. Write for other people. Freelance writing is a great way to make money quickly, as you can write about a host of topics and get paid per word or per article. Granted, you’ll need to have some basic writing abilities, but you don’t need to be a master. Many writing sites, like Textbroker, have different tiers for writers of different abilities. Thus, you can work for the tier that you’re at and get paid accordingly. Over time, you can improve your skills and thus improve your earnings.
  2. The next step is to write for yourself and create websites that you monetize through ads, such as through Google’s Adsense program. If you have no expertise at all when it comes to computers, you can write for Web 2.0 article sites like HubPages and InfoBarrel. Once you get used to the whole enterprise, you can begin to create your own blogs and web assets.
  3. Try your hand at affiliate marketing. This method requires you to do the same activities described above (writing for your own websites). The major difference is that you write in an attempt to get people to buy products – other people’s products. You can promote Amazon products, Clickbank digital e-books, and much more. You’ll make a commission based off of what you end up selling. You don’t need to do any face-to-face selling – just direct people through your affiliate links and cash in.
  4. The final, and most advanced, option is to sell your own products. These can be physical goods, services, or digital items, such as e-books and reports. You can use the same strategies as listed above in order to build your business. Best of all, you can combine all four of these methods to create a powerhouse of Internet income.
