In these hard times, finding a job seems to be more challenging than ever. The old promise – get good grades, go to college, graduate, and cash in – isn’t working like it should. And you can imagine how hard it may be to get a job if you don’t have these credentials!
“I need a job ASAP” you say – and this is my response. Here are three quick tips that will help you get a job as soon as possible.
- Don’t ignore the possibility of working online. There are plenty of reputable businesses that are hiring people to work from home on their computers. In addition, you could also work for yourself online – either find some freelancing gigs or build up your own network/empire of websites and web properties.
- Check Craigslist. A ton of hiring occurs on Craigslist these days in addition to the other job hiring websites like Monster.com and so on. You may be able to find part-time or temp work here too as a stop gap between finding your next full time job.
- Finally, if you are really desperate, you can make instant money by doing some online writing for a company like textbroker. Don’t worry if you don’t think you’re a great writer – there is a qualification and a subject for you. You’ll be paid per word depending on the quality of your writing, so it’s a decent, emergency way of making money quickly while you look for a full time job in the normal channels.
